Norwegian Institute of Recorded Sound has one of Europe's largest collections of recorded music available to the public. Its unique focus is the documentation of practitioner performance practice in 1900-century European music culture. The Norwegian Institute of Recorded Sound is a centre for research and dissemination of projects and is an active participant in international networks for audio recording archiving and preservation.
