The department educates performing musicians and dancers, instrumental / dance teachers and cultural professionals for regional, national and international markets. This is achieved with performance-based bachelor and master programs, as well as advanced studies and continuing education programs.
Students and teachers are engaged in extensive concert and performance activities and regularly organize projects with ensembles and orchestras. The department also has regional responsibility for the “Young Musicians” talent development program in Rogaland county.
