The International Chamber Music Festival
The International Chamber Music Festival in Stavanger, or ICMF takes place in August every year and presents top international artists from Norway and other countries in a variety of constellations. Some of the artists already know each other, some meet here and play together for the first time. Each concert is therefore like a premiere, and in fact often a world premiere! As well as performing, many of the artists hold master classes during the festival’s International Summer Academy, ISA, also called Playing for Gold!. The chamber music festival also arranges concerts at other times of the year in its concert series OPUS.
